A video explaining how to use Liquin to make oil paint dry faster. You also get stuff like cobalt fixative, galkyd by gamblin and fast drying mediums by other brands and so on but I am talking mostly about art supplies that are easily available in India.

Hi Sylvia,

I request you to use and promote non toxic oil painting mediums. I understand the cost factor concerned with non-toxic materials. But better safe than sorry.
As a person who has dealt with someone with cancer closely I wouldn't recommend or use any mediums that are even mildly carcinogenic.
I have been digging up info about non toxic materials and found these-
– M. Graham walnut alkyd medium
– M. Graham walnut oil
– Natural Turpenoid
– Masters brush cleaner
( All available on Amazon India )
I was disappointed to see the ignorance of a lot of Indian artists and how they are promoting the same on their channels. None of them are explaning the long term side effects these toxic mediums can have or the many precautions one has to take while using these.
I understand we are surrounded by a lot of stuff that has the potential to cause cancer but that is no reason to choose the easier ignorant path.

Thank you!

I heard that the liquid damages brushes if you will not clean properly.
What is your opinion?

You should not use liquin in greater quantity.
This will create minute cracks in the painting which will after few months or a year expand where then dust will accumulate and eventually destroy the painting.

Ms. Sylvia… I know, right? Isn’t liquid great? I’m kinda opposite of you, as I prefer using clove oil so I can come back 4-5 days later & it’s still as wet as I left it!!! I love what I’ve seen of your work & im sure I could learn a TON from you! Thanks for sharing!!!

Why would you wait until it dries to paint another layer? That’s not what oils are for… you should complete your entire oil painting in an hour or so. Not a week!! Jeez that’s miserable painting that way

Thank you very much for the good tip. How much time you wait for varnishing after finishing your oil with liquin paintings? Thanks!
