Can you please help me. So I used on first layer liquin, can I use linseed oil for the next layer and the last layer only paint? So did I understand this rule?

awesome video. However my question is what about if you start with say a fat layer and keep every layer the same through the painting or even a lean mixture and just keep painting lean over lean say 50% gamsol to 50% linseed oil but for every layer ? would this be ok. would love to hear anyone's opinion on this 🙂

Jessica Justine Tabah 19/08/2021 - 13:41

How fat is too much fat? If on the top layer i use 80% refined linseed oil + 20% paint, will it crack? The 2nd top layer is +- 60%refined linsedd oil + 40% paint, and i tried to conciouslly use more and more oil for each layer, but then i’m afraid if i’ve used too much oil.. somebody halp

Thanks Livia, I've watched a few videos on these processes, and yours is definitely the best of them.
It clearly and simply describes the process, with a bit of science too.
Thank you.

Thank you explaining something I've been trying to understand. I like the way you ask the question first – the very question I'd ask and then you go on to explain. Terrific.
