Welcome to The Gold Coast Art School channel.

Whether you’re using oil paints, acrylic paints, watercolours or painting mediums, it can be easy to get all their lids stuck! And how annoying is it to try and get them off again?

Today, we wanted to show you how to remove the paint and build-up from around the tubes and bottles you use, without destroying them. No need to use giant spanners and tools! And of course, prevention is often better than a cure too, so we go over how to stop this from happening in the first place.

We would love to share more about art, such as art activities for children, adults and teens, and teach how to use different tools and materials in your artwork. So if you have any suggestions for what you’d like to learn, please let us know in the comments below.

Thank you for watching and supporting our channel,

➤ A little more about The Gold Coast Art School:

Since 1995, we’ve been teaching creatives how to successfully paint and draw (even when they think they can’t!) We have classes for beginners and intermediates, and welcome advanced artists too. Many of our students love coming to our school not only for the depth of knowledge our tutors bring to each session, but for our relaxed and welcoming community feel. Our adult art students usually use oil paints, but we encourage any medium, including acrylics, pastels and watercolours. Check out our social media and website for info, or email/call us any time to chat to Jess and book your spot in our next class!

I heard if you put a foil between paint and lid?? I haven‘t try this yet 😁 Greetings from Calgary

I use a cigarette lighter to heat up the lid. It helps get them open in a jiff, but it mangles the lid a bit.
